Manchester United’s management has confirmed that striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has seriously damaged knee ligaments and his season is almost certainly over. Moreover, it is very likely that he will not even make the start of next season.
There has even been talk of him finishing this calendar year. Apart from him, Marcos Rojo has also been placed on the sick list to complement the pair of stoppers Chris Smalling and Phil Jones. This leaves Jose Mourinho with only two first-team stoppers, Eric Bailly and Daley Blind, ahead of today’s game against Burnley.
