Big relief and huge emotions! I’ve never been happier, I’m trying not to cry

An important day for the talented Czech fighter. Tereza Bledá took on her second UFC fight after her first loss and her opponent was another Brazilian Gabriella Fernandes. How did the fight look?

The twenty-one year old rising star of Czech MMA did not make it through her first UFC fight, losing to Natalia Silva, but at her age it was no disaster. Rather, it was just a valuable lesson for future fights.

The loss, however, automatically put a little more pressure on her. The next fight was important for her. She faced another Brazilian, this time Gabrielle Fernandes. She went into the match as the favourite and confirmed that role.

The Brazilian was more dangerous in her stance from the start, but after just two minutes Tereza Bledá took her opponent to the ground and managed to dominate. It proved to be a key moment for the rest of the duel, the path to victory was obvious.

In the second five minutes, Bledá did very well. It didn’t take her two minutes to get the takedown this time. Fernandes tried to set up a submission, but the Czech showed an overview, didn’t allow anything and instead got into a full mount, where she confirmed her dominance and dished out punches.

The third round, however, started dramatically. The former Octagon champion held her ground for a long time and may have regretted it. The Brazilian was able to hit her hard several times. Fortunately, Bledé got one counter that shook her more experienced opponent and was able to go for a takedown.

She actually managed to deliver it and by the end of the round she was in full mount, giving her opponent a taste of the hardness of her elbows. There could be no doubt about her victory. She checked in on the ground for nearly 11 minutes. As soon as the last five minutes were over, the Czech was overcome with emotion.

“I have never been happier. Now I’m trying not to cry. But it still wasn’t the best performance I could have given,” Bledá was heard in the cage after her win.

However, the talented fighter also noted that although her duel was not the most attractive, she is trying to work on her attitude and believes she was better than in her last duel.
