Could a walker beat Jon Jones? His former rival is clear. What would he use to defeat arguably the greatest fighter in history?
Jon Jones is back, but this time he will be the heavyweight monster. Unfortunately. Fans would surely be interested to see how the new generation would handle him in a division he has long dominated. For example, Jiri Prochazka could certainly be an interesting challenge for one of the best fighters of all time. Even his former rival is clear about that.

He is considered one of the best fighters of all time. For many experts, former and current stars of world MMA, he is unquestionably the best. And no wonder.
Jon Jones has had a phenomenal career, he has ruled the welterweight division for a long time and no one can compete with him in the number of defenses. In fact, he has 13 title defenses. His only loss is by disqualification.
He last fought in February 2020. He then relinquished the title and took up a new challenge. He’s been working on moving up to heavyweight and will have his first fight in March. Unfortunately, that means we probably won’t see his eventual fight with Jiri Prochazka, which would have been an outright offer.
Procházka was the welterweight champion. He lost the title due to injury, but is determined to win it back. And the fight with Jones? He’s already admitted several times that he wouldn’t fight him. On the contrary.
And what would a Prochazka vs. Jones fight look like? According to the former rival of the Moravian fighter, the native of South Moravia would definitely not be without a chance. On the contrary. After all, who else would know better than Muhammed Lawal, who fought Procházka twice, beating him once and losing once.
Lawal says Procházka and his potential have no limit. “I honestly think a healthy Jiri could beat Jones. Jones is a great fighter, probably one of the best of all time. You have to fight him like it’s a three-minute tough fight,” MMA Fighting quotes him as saying.
Thus, the former opponent of Prochazka alludes to how technical Jones fights. “Walk fights at a tremendous pace, he doesn’t take anything into consideration. He’s not going to try to technically impale you, he’s just going to try to beat you. His style would give Jones problems,” Lawal is clear.
The former Rizin or Bellator fighter, among others, highlighted the way Walker has introduced himself in the UFC. He also complimented him for his fight with Glover Teixeira, when he escaped from positions that would have been the ultimate for many other fighters.
