Arsenal are set to bring in another player from Brighton, but they have rejected an initial £60m bid for Caicedo

Arsenal have already brought in two interesting signings in this transfer window and according to Ekrem Konur, they are about to bring in one more, but this time for big money, with Moisés Caicedo’s transfer going for at least £75 million.

The Fichajes server reported that the current Premier League leader is trying to secure the services of the talented Brighton midfielder, where he has been on and off (guesting at Beerschot V.A. – Belgium) for two years.

In this position, Mikel Arteta has mainly the pair of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka at his disposal. However, both of them have already reached their age, which is around 30 years old, so it’s definitely a good idea to bring in a younger player, who of course will have the quality to make regular appearances in the starting line-up.

Mohamed Elneny and Albert Sambi Lokonga have not enjoyed such confidence from the Spanish coach so far. The latter midfielder, however, has much more potential, of course, given his age.

In the event of an injury to one of the Xhaka – Partey pair, then there would be a problem that could mean considerable difficulties in the quest for the league title. So having three really quality midfielders should be a priority.

Journalist David Ornstein reported on his Twitter account that the Gunners’ first offer, which was £60 million, was rejected by the club from the south of England.

However, Arsenal are reportedly willing to do everything possible to acquire the Ecuadorian, who has already made 26 starts in the Premier League. Moreover, this would be the second signing from Brighton, as the London outfit have already snapped up winger Leandro Trossard for €24 million.

The other big signing so far is Polish defender Jakub Kiwior, who the Gunners management brought in for €25 million from Spezia Calcio.

However, coach Arteta now has to concentrate fully on the FA Cup game against Manchester City, after which he will head to Liverpool on February 4, where his charges will face Everton, who it can be assumed will already have a new coach, who is very likely to be Sean Dyche.
