You got a hit? Jorginho is a guarantee of success for Arsenal and an excellent replacement for the boisterous Xhaka

Comment: Arsenal brought in Jorginho at the end of the transfer window. The Italian midfielder and third man in the 2021 Ballon d’Or poll is expected to bolster the midfield and help the Gunners in their title challenge. But why will he be so useful to Mikel Arteta?
Arsenal brought in Jorginho for £10million, with the other two coming in bonuses. Meanwhile, this is the London club’s third signing in the transfer window after Leandro Trossard from Brighton and Jakub Kiwior from Spezia.
No (for now) in the starting line-up
Gunners fans have mixed feelings about the new signing. They are divided in opinion, those who don’t want a player with a past at Chelsea and trust the Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey pairing, while others see the experience that will be needed for the title fight.
In some ways, both groups are right. Although Jorginho is unlikely to attack the starting line-up at the moment, as both central midfielders are playing in the form of their lives, as a substitute and Europa League option he will be useful.
A third central midfielder was needed
Not only will Jorginho be useful, on the contrary, he will be a very important player. This is from the perspective that Arsenal have not had an adequate replacement in the centre of midfield so far.
Neither Mohamed Elneny nor Sambi Lokonga have shown such a performance in the long run that Mikel Arteta, who relies on a narrow core of the team, should send them on the pitch at least as substitutes.
Notably, during the final hours of the January transfer window, Arsenal confirmed Sambi Lokonga’s departure to Crystal Palace.
But Jorginho is one of the best midfielders of the last three years, and he has also proven several times that he can be the leader of the team.
Another successful
It goes without saying that Arsenal are and will be playing for the title. But for that, it needs experienced players, which it didn’t have much of before the season. But from Manchester City came Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, both used to winning game after game.
Jorginho has won the Champions League, the Europa League, the Super Cup and the Euros, so he shouldn’t be out of contention for the title.
