Life form. That’s what you could call Marcus Rashford’s current state of mind. The English striker was getting into good shape at the end of the autumn, he showed good form at the World Cup in Qatar despite the fact that he was not in the starting line-up.
But he has kicked his engines into overdrive since returning to Carrington. In seven games he scored 8 goals and added 2 assists. He didn’t make the stats against Crystal Palace, but he made up for it at the Emirates Stadium.
In the 17th minute, he took the ball from Bruno Fernandes, gracefully crossed over Partey and shot from outside the box and headed it just wide of the post.
He netted his ninth goal this Premier League season, scoring 5 of them in the last six games.
It is Rashford, along with Casemiro, who has been a major contributor to Manchester United’s rise in the last month.
However, Arsenal were not to be shamed and quickly levelled the scores. In the 24th minute, Eddie Nketiah pounced on Xhaka’s centre and headed home to level at 1-1.
Nketiah was given the difficult task of replacing the injured Gabriel Jesus after the World Cup. He scored for the third time in the Premier League after the break and added two goals in the FA Cup.
