Manchester City are not in ideal form. In fact, in the last two league matches they have not registered a single point and the gap in the league table to the first Arsenal has grown to eight points. In addition, Newcastle and Manchester United are only a point behind.

Tottenham are not in any ideal playing condition either. Only two wins from the last six league games, and at the weekend they clearly lost the derby with Arsenal 0:2. In the table, it is enough for the fifth place, but the tenth Chelsea is only five points behind.

Manchester City’s key figures

Dortmund’s summer signing Erling Haaland is Europe’s top scorer with a 27+3 record, but has come up empty in three games so far this year. On the right edge of the defence, the young Rico Lewis is surprisingly shining.

Tottenham’s key players

Spurs are really dependent on English goalscorer Harry Kane – 18 goals and three accurate passes are clear evidence of that. Unfortunately, Dejan Kulusevski has been hampered a lot by injuries, but he has already scored one goal and five assists.

The Citizens are not doing well defensively in the absence of Ruben Dias, they have kept a clean sheet only twice out of the last eight matches (in the league and in the cup against a struggling Chelsea), four of them conceding at least two goals.

On the other side, however, there is also an unstable defence, which has only conceded less than twice in the last six competitive games. With 27 goals conceded, they are the third worst of the front twelve in the league table.

Considering the cooperation of Kevin de Bruyne with Haaland and also considering the terrible form of the Spurs defensive line, which quite objectively burned like paper at the weekend, we can expect that the Citizens will not hesitate to take the home game in front of their own fans.
