Manchester United is riding the wave. Can they challenge for the title?
Is it finally here? After years of misery, Manchester United look strong enough to challenge for the title. They may be nine points behind Arsenal, but in the Premier League it’s not that big a gap.

Meanwhile, the start of the season under new coach Erik ten Hague has looked very poor. United lost their first two games and it seemed that the fans were in for another torrid season.
But the arrival of Casemiro from Real Madrid solidified the midfield immensely. The missing Maguire was replaced in defence by the “butcher” Lisandro Martinez and suddenly the defence looked completely different.
Moreover, after the national break, Manchester United look very good. It won all three games, first beating Nottingham 3:0, then beating Wolves 1:0 and finally scoring 3 goals against Bournemouth.
Especially with his great performances he pleased the Red Devils fans and a nicer view is already on the table.
At the moment, United are in fourth place with 35 points, the same number is held by the third Newcastle, but they have one game more. Casemiro and co. are just a point behind second placed Citizens, although the city rivals also have a game in hand.
The positive news is that the Red Devils have a five-point lead over fifth-placed Tottenham, so the Champions League is fully in their hands for now.
Now come two cup games (Everton – FA Cup, Charlton – EFL Cup), but after that come two stress tests that will determine the direction United will take.
They face Manchester City and then table leader Arsenal. If both duels can be handled by ten Hag’s charges, they can even think about finally bringing the trophy back to Old Trafford.
