Several Czechs at the tournament in France

In the last qualifying round, David Poljak (432nd) challenged the home team’s Enzo Wallart (618th).After a bad first set, the 26-year-old Czech managed to turn the match around and gave his opponent a canary in the deciding set. Tomáš Macháč (110th) started his match in the main phase. The native of Beroun had to play three sets with Russian Alexey Vatutin (268th). In the second set, however, the Czech player was not very successful, in the fourth game his opponent broke and then Vatutin was happy for the second time in the important eighth game – 2::6. But in the deciding set Machac gave his opponent no chance, converted two breaks and won 6::3.

The latter is not having a good season at all and he confirmed his bad form in France.
