Barbora Krejcikova vs Aryna Sabalenkova: Preview and betting tips

The Czech Republic will send its first representative to the quarterfinals of the US Open today. Barbora Krejcikova, after a tough match against Spain’s Muguruza, will play against probably the biggest favourite of this tournament. The opponent of the Czech number two will be the world number two, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka.

The Belarusian has only lost a set in the opening round so far in the tournament, when she missed a match point against Nina Stojanovic and lost the set in a tiebreak.

Since then, however, Sabalenka has been 100 percent and after Ashleigh Barty’s elimination, she is probably the biggest favourite for the last Grand Slam of the season.

Krejcikova has never lost a set in New York this year. But among the last eight, she will not have an easy job.

The question will also be what physical state the Czech player is in after her match with Muguruza. She left the court accompanied by doctors and did not look well.

The two tennis players have played only once before, last year in Linz, where Sabalenka, the number one seed, won 2:1 in sets. And the Belarusian will be the winner this time as well. But again it could be in the third set.
