Roger Federer has millions of fans around the world. He is also one of the most likable players on the ATP circuit. Now, one of the best tennis players in history has put some very valuable items up for charity auction.
Roger Federer has been a professional since 1998. During this period, he has won twenty Grand Slam titles, which is the most together with Rafael Nadal.
Other great achievements include six triumphs in the Tournament of Champions. In total, 103 titles can be found in his collection. Of the major events, only the Olympics, where he finished a best of second, did not dominate.
The former world number one also supported a lot of charity auctions. He continues to do so even at the age of 39, when his professional career may be coming to an end.
Already on 23 June, the first part of the auction will take place, the proceeds of which will help poor children in Africa. In it you will be able to get a tennis racket, a clothes-pulling sweater with the RF logo. Opening amounts will range from £3,000.
“Each piece in this auction represents a moment in my tennis career and allows me to share part of my personal archive with fans around the world. More importantly, theproceeds will support my foundation so that we can continue to provide resources for the education of children in Africa and Switzerland,” revealed the Swiss.
The continuation of the auction will take place in July when 300 smaller items will be available. These proceeds will also support the Federer Foundation.
