Perhaps the last game of the current NHL season. The next game of the Finals series between Vegas and Florida is scheduled for Tuesday night and the Golden Knights are one step away from winning the Stanley Cup. What to expect from the fifth game of the series and what to bet on?
Will the Vegas Golden Knights end the series and win the Stanley Cup for the first time in their franchise history? That’s a question that needs to be taken quite seriously given the way this finals are going.
The Golden Knights are currently leading 3-1 on the season and the fans will propel them to victory at home.
So far in this year’s NHL playoffs, there have only been three times that Vegas has failed to win at home. The first time was at the very beginning of the playoffs, when Bruce Cassidy’s team lost to Winnipeg 1-5 in the first round.
But then they turned the series around with four straight wins. The Golden Knights also lost the second game of the series at home to Edmonton (1:5) and then in the fifth game of the Western Conference Final to Dallas (2:4). In the series with Florida, the Knights have won both home games so far.
Florida completed the toughest step in this year’s playoffs in the first round, advancing to the second round in the series against Boston after an impressive turnaround from 1: 3 on the scoreboard. The Panthers knocked out Toronto (4: 1 games to 1) and then blew out Carolina (4: 0 games to 0) in the Eastern Conference Final.
But the Stanley Cup Final against Vegas seems to be a much tougher nut to crack. In the T-Mobile Arena, Vegas managed to beat Florida in the opening two meetings 5: 2 and 7: 2, although the Panthers managed to outshoot their opponent each time.
In Florida it was much more evenly matched hockey even in terms of results. The Panthers first won 3:2 at home after overtime, but in the following game they fell 2:3. They already have experience with a 1:3 record, but can they take advantage of it against the Golden Knights?
Betting tip
A whopping 88% of bettors are picking Vegas to win, seven percent are picking a tie and only five percent are backing Florida. In the fifth game of this series, we can expect an even battle as the Panthers will certainly leave everything on the ice.
So far, in every game between Vegas and Florida, at least five goals have been scored, so bets related to this alternative can be considered.
