Mbappé has told PSG management that he will not renew his contract, so the club is considering a summer sale. Real Madrid beware!
The biggest transfer saga of last summer seems to have a sequel sooner than initially expected. Kylian Mbappé has announced to PSG that he will not extend his contract with the club and could leave for free next year. The club’s management doesn’t want to let that happen, so will they sell their biggest star this summer?

The star trio is falling apart, after Messi’s departure PSG has another big problem to solve
It was supposed to be the greatest attacking trio in history. But the stellar attack is falling apart and Paris Saint-Germain will be forced to rotate the composition of their offense. After Lionel Messi announced his departure from the club and a move overseas, the management of the French big club has another inconvenience to deal with.
Even before the season just ended, PSG had to deal with Real Madrid’s raid on their club’s biggest star, but in the end Kylian Mbappé decided to stay alongside Messi and Neymar. However, the star trio once again failed to fulfil their potential and fell apart before they could achieve any major success.
When Lionel Messi announced his departure to the club, the management may not have been so disillusioned. The star Argentine’s performances fell short of those in a Barcelona jersey, and the relationship with the fans also deteriorated significantly this season. So his departure was to be expected.
Mbappé has told the club that he will not renew his contract in the French capital
Yesterday, however, the French newspaper L’Équipé reported that Kylian Mbappé has also announced his departure from the club. He was to send an official letter to PSG, in which he wrote to the club’s chief executives that he does not intend to use the extension clause in his contract until 2025.
This would mean that the player’s contract expires in June 2024 and after that he can leave the club for free. However, this does not appeal to the club’s management and according to renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, there are practically two options for him. Either he will sign a new contract or he will be sold this summer.
This is of course a great opportunity for Real Madrid. After Karim Benzema’s departure to Saudi Arabia, the latter is looking for a new star in the offensive and Mbappé is a long-time target of Los Blancos president Florentino Pérez.
It will be interesting to see if the biggest transfer saga of last summer will start anew or if the White Ballet will wait until next summer, when the French national team captain could leave the club for free. The attitude of the player himself will also be important. Either way, the transfer summer has detonated its biggest bombshell.
