The speculation was confirmed. Cristiano Ronaldo is officially out at Manchester United, which he joined last summer. The 37-year-old striker has agreed to terminate his contract with the club and may look for a new deal.

Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the best footballers in history. The Portuguese megastar decided to return to Manchester United last summer, making the fans of the club happy.

He did not fare badly in the 2021/22 season. As soon as he got into his team’s lineup, he started scoring goal after goal. In the Premier League, he scored eighteen of them in a whole season.

However, in the current one, it’s a completely different story. The Portuguese missed the preparation due to family reasons and it was obvious that there was some problem between the two sides.

Consequently, he did not start regularly in the starting line-up, which he was not used to, and he also stopped doing well. In October, he was left on the bench against Spurs and went to the dressing rooms before the end of the game.

This spelled the end of his time at the club. Subsequently, he was not in the nomination for Chelsea, but after that he started again. He spent the final two games on the bench and then gave a fateful interview.

In it he was quite critical of his club or coach and it was certain what was to come. Initial statements from Manchester United were restrained, but negotiations with the player were ongoing.

Today, United announced on their website that they are terminating Ronaldo’s contract by mutual agreement.Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Manchester United with immediate effect.

The club thanks him for his immense contribution during his two spells at Old Trafford, where he scored 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.

Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on lifting the team under Erik ten Hag and working together to achieve success on the pitch,” the club wrote on its website.
