Ronaldo: I had to be in hospital because my daughter was sick. United management didn’t believe me

Cristiano Ronaldo is going through a very difficult time. He’s had a horrible six months at Manchester United, all the anger bubbled up inside him and so he decided to give a really sharp interview. He also leaned on the club’s management who didn’t believe him about his daughter’s illness.
You’ve probably noticed the Cristiano Ronaldo interview that is currently shaking up the football world. He gave probably the most candid interview of his career to Piers Morgan.
In it, he leaned on coach Erik ten Hag, former teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville, among others. But he also wrote down the leadership.
The problem should have arisen in the summer training. Ronaldo did not travel for the pre-season tour, it was presented to the public in the style that the Portuguese wants to leave Manchester and is sulking. The club didn’t even issue a statement on the matter.
But now it turns out that everything was completely different. Because Ronaldo lost a child last season, which affected him a lot. When his newborn daughter Bella became seriously ill in the summer and had to go to hospital, it is logical that Ronaldo, like a good father, did not want to leave his family alone.
But United’s management wasn’t exactly sympathetic. “The management and the president of the club didn’t believe me 100% that something was wrong. I felt really bad about it. But I will never trade my family’s health for football. I will never. Not now, but not even 10 years ago,” Ronaldo told TalkTV.
“This really hurt me because they doubted what I was telling them. They doubted that I had problems, especially Bella (daughter) and Gio (partner). We were in hospital for a week because Bella had a big problem. And because of that, I was not in pre-season training because I couldn’t leave my family. I didn’t think it was fair to leave them for the preparation,” Ronaldo gives the reasons for his absence.
There have been rumours about United’s poor management for years. Virtually since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure, the club has been in a vicious circle with no way out.
According to Ronaldo, Manchester United cannot get back to the top level precisely because of some people in high positions at the club.
