Tottenham will be fighting to hold on to third place in the Premier League on Saturday and will need to beat 14th-placed Bournemouth away. What to expect from the game and what to bet on?
Bournemouth have moved away from the relegation zone after the change of coach, but losses in the last two rounds have pushed them back down again. From 14th place, they have a four-point lead on 18th-placed Leeds, so they need to score on Saturday.
Tottenham have lost three times in a row in all competitions, but in the Champions League they still have the first place in their hands. They are third in the league, but have only a three-point cushion on sixth-placed Manchester United.
The home side rely on Dominic Solanke’s goals, the English striker has scored two goals and assisted three times. Argentine stopper Marcos Senesi shines after his summer transfer from Feyenoord, he is the heart of an otherwise not very good back four.
In the away camp, cannonballer Harry Kane is worth mentioning, author of eleven goals and two assists. Meanwhile, last year’s top Premier League scorer Heung Min Son is finding his stride, scoring five times and assisting twice so far.
Bournemouth have the worst defence of the competition, conceding 25 times in their twelve games so far.
On the other hand, the nominally extremely good offense has run out of shooting powder, with Kane and Co. scoring only twice in the last three games.
Considering Bournemouth’s dysfunctional defense and the fact that they haven’t scored in the last two games, I think Tottenham will win.
