Can we look forward to another UFC tournament in the Czech Republic? No one probably knows the answer to this question now, but Jiří procházka outlined that this topic has been discussed. But what needs to happen for that to happen?

In February 2019, we could enjoy the UFC in Prague. Since then, we have been waiting to see when the organization will return here again. Now it seems that it may be close, thanks to Jiri Prochazka.

He is the welterweight champion and many were hoping that his next fight would be in our area. In the end it won’t be, but it is quite possible that it will happen next year.

According to the champion, the UFC has discussed the Prague option, but so far they have come to the conclusion that the fight with Glover Teixeira is not built for it. However, another duel could be.

“Yes, it’s been talked about with the UFC, but I think the potential fight would have to be much bigger than just me vs. the Brazilian. Maybe, and I say maybe because I don’t want to say it’s really going to happen and it’s going to be my next opponent and stuff like that, but there could be a fight with Jan Blachowicz of Poland in the future.

That would be a huge fight me as a Czech vs Janek as a Pole. I think it would be a great fit right here in Europe. We’re not there yet. I have to focus on my next fight now and then we can talk about other plans,” he said in an interview with Ariel Helwani.

So his next fight will be on December 10 in Las Vegas, but let’s be surprised if his next fight won’t be in Prague. He will have to win that fight though.
