Unreal drop by Hazard, he put in a crazy performance against Shakhtar. He doesn’t hit it 5 metres, Real fans rage
We’re seeing one of the biggest declines of his career. You don’t see as many failed transfers as Eden Hazard’s from Chelsea to Real Madrid. The Belgian footballer left as the Premier League’s best player but is currently at a woeful level.
We’re seeing one of the biggest declines of his career. You don’t see as many failed transfers as Eden Hazard’s from Chelsea to Real Madrid. The Belgian footballer left as the Premier League’s best player but is currently at a woeful level.
In the 2018/19 season, Eden Hazard finishes the year with 16 goals and 15 assists, he added 3 goals in the English cups, he recorded a 2+2 record in the Europa League. The football world was at his feet, he was considered one of the best players in the world, Real Madrid did not hesitate to pay 116 million euros for him.
But injuries and poor health put a big damper on Hazard’s career at his dream club. He is currently at the lowest position in the hierarchy of strikers, with Asensio and Mariano ahead of him, in addition to the usual Vinícius, Benzema, Rodrigue and Valverde.
He hasn’t featured in the last 5 games at Real Madrid, sitting the whole game on the bench each time. He only got his chance against Shakhtar, when Los Blancos were already in a very advantageous position in the Champions League and could afford to spare the lineup before this weekend’s El Clásico.
So Hazard got his chance and could have asked for minutes in other games, only to find that he would wait even longer for his next chance than this one.
The game in Warsaw, Poland, was an absolute disaster for him, he looked like Real Madrid took an inexperienced teenager on the pitch who didn’t know where to run and who to pass to. Yes, it’s a harsh but unfortunately telling assessment of Hazard’s performance.
He doesn’t pass it five yards!
the 31-year-old Belgian lost the ball 10 times, didn’t shoot once, didn’t score a single centre, attempted a single dribble and that was unsuccessful. He also got into two duels, both of which he lost.
“It’s terrible how far he’s fallen. He can‘t even pass the ball five metres,” wrote a Real Madrid fan on Twitter. “If I had come on for Hazard today, it would not have been worse,” another Los Blancos supporter commented.
“Hazard may not play until the end of 2022 after today, ” wrote another Real fan.
“God knows how they want to get rid of Hazard. He’s under contract until 2024, so maybe he’ll sit out another year on that astronomical salary,” another fan reminded of the Belgian’s other big problem.
