Really?! The referees at the KSW tournament robbed two Czechs of a win. Částková didn’t understand the loss, Martínek congratulated his opponent in disgust

A weekend full of great MMA tournaments kicked off on Friday with KSW Poland’s 75th edition of the gala. Three representatives of the Czech Republic opened the tournament, with Michal Martinek being the biggest star. How did they do?

KSW 75 offered a very interesting card. And also for Czech MMA fans, as the tournament featured three representatives of our country. Specifically, it was Petra Částková, David Martinik and Michal Martínek.

Částková opened the tournament with her match. The 40-year-old Czech with two fights in Bellator won her contract in KSW with two wins in her home organization I Am Fighter. She was up against a fighter twelve years her junior, Adrianna Kreft, who has yet to lose.

The entire match was staged standing. It was very evenly matched, however the Polish woman suffered more damage to her face. Částková looked good in the fight, relaxed. She dominated her opponent slightly, but the judges saw it differently.

Kreft won by a single point. Částková was surprised and disappointed when the result was announced. And no wonder. However, as already mentioned, the match was very even and the Czech was definitely not the worse fighter in the match.

And what did the Czech say? “I think it was a bit of a notch. I don’t know where the referees were looking. One of the most important elements is damage. And while I’m pretty cool, Adrianna looks like she got run over by a tank,” she confided in an interview with Voyo.

In the next fight, the 25-year-old Martini took on Polish talent Kamil Szkaradek, a year younger than her. The home fighter was a big favourite and especially in the first two rounds he was getting his role. He was able to control the Czech fighter well on the ground and score points.

However, Szkaradek went into the third round exhausted, while Martinik looked energetic. However, if the Czech wanted to win, he would have to stop the fight. And he didn’t. On the contrary. The Pole, by force of will, managed to get him down after two minutes of the last round and even got on his back.

But his attempt to apply a rear-naked choke didn’t work. So the Polish fighter went on to win on points. He didn’t get it for free, though.

Martinek close to a title shot? The judges were against

Michal Martinek put on a great show in his first KSW match during June. He lost to Filip Stawowy on points by unanimous decision. Considering that he is a former Octagon champion, ACA fighter and almost UFC fighter, he has a good reputation in the Polish organization.

Moreover, he backed that up with his first win and it’s no secret that he might not be far away from a title fight. He could have come close to that on Friday night and he almost did. He didn’t have the easiest match, but he gave a good performance against the 40-year-old Daniel Omielanczuk.

In the match it was clear that Martinek is eight years younger. Conditionally he was better, he was much faster, he kept his distance well. The Czech was combining head punches and low kicks, gradually dismantling the Polish fighter beautifully.

Mostly he didn’t even let the Pole have a chance to win. Except for the second round. About halfway through, Omielanczuk hit Martinek well. But otherwise, in terms of frequency of punches, the Czech had the clear advantage in damage.

But despite all that, the Polish fighter won on points. On a split decision. And what did Martinek say? He didn’t want to antagonize the management of the organization and so in the cage he just congratulated his opponent for the victory and it can’t be said that he didn’t sound disgusted.
