Leverkusen vs. Porto: Preview and betting tips
Czech national team players Patrik Schick and Adam Hložek will play the fourth match of the Champions League group stage on Wednesday, when they welcome Porto to Germany. Both teams are on three points and a loss would be a big problem for them in the fight for promotion. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?

It probably goes without saying that Leverkusen have had a bad start to the season. One single win in the Champions League, and their second win in the Bundesliga only this weekend with new coach Xabi Alonso. They are only two points clear of the barrage.
Porto are also not following up last year’s title haul. It is second in the league, three points behind first-placed Benfica Lisbon in the Champions League, and only scored for the first time in the last round, just like Leverkusen.
Perhaps only Moussa Diaby is in form in the home squad, the French winger scoring twice and assisting four times. Robert Andrich has also put in a decent performance, the hard-working central midfielder scoring two goals and assisting once.
On the away side, Mehdi Taremi shines, the Iranian international striker has opened the net seven times and assisted on seven other goals. His Brazilian strike partner Evanilson has been on the scoresheet for seven goals, scoring five already and providing two assists.
Leverkusen are in crisis, but at home they are at least managing to entertain the crowd with productivity. He has scored seven goals in his last three games at his stadium.
Porto, on the other hand, are struggling away. In the last five games at their opponents’ grounds, they have won only once and lost three times.
Given Porto’s terrible away form and given Leverkusen’s sympathetic first game under their new coach, I think Bayer will win.
