Saudi Arabia? A football paradise that has welcomed several famous footballers in the new season

Saudi Arabia is definitely not one of the football superpowers, in the FIFA ranking the team from Asia ranks up to 65th, which is one of the factors that speaks about the quality of the clubs. Nevertheless, a considerable number of well-known footballers transfer to teams in the so-called UAE Pro League. Do you know which players we are talking about?

Saudi Arabia is an exotic destination that offers footballers not only a very interesting environment, but also salary conditions. An example is the recent offer for Ronaldo, which according to the Dailymail was supposed to bring the Portuguese an astronomical 250 million euros over two years.

This is also why we are seeing a move to this destination, especially by experienced footballers who want to earn extra money towards the end of their careers. Do you know which footballers are new to the Saudi league?

Manolas, Pjanic and Alcácer

Sharjah FC have been the most significant reinforcements. It has welcomed prominent figures to its ranks in the form of Olympiakos defender Konstantinos Manolas, Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic and Villareal striker Paco Alcácer.

The latter has already managed to score three goals and is currently his club’s top scorer. Pjanić, a former Barcelona player, also managed to score once.

Manolas, on the other hand, has only recently been introduced and is still waiting for his debut. The transfer also became known thanks to the official presentation by the club when he was photographed near the lion. You can see the reactions of the player himself in the video below::

Allan and Pizzi

The other pair of new signings in Saudi Arabia are defensive midfielder Allan from Everton and offensive midfielder Pizzi from Benfica. Both have transferred to Al-Wahda. While the latter has already started three games, Allan joined the squad recently.

Denayer and Yarmolenko

The remaining known footballers include Yarmolenko, who has moved from West Ham to Al-Ain. The Ukrainian striker scored one goal and set up two more for his teammates.

Last but not least, Jason Denayer, who has moved from Lyon to Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai, is also new to the UAE Pro League.
