Slavia have played their opening game of the group stage of the Conference Europa League and the fans are definitely not happy. They only drew with Sivaspor and the performance was not worthy of recognition.
It looked like a successful cup day. However, in the end, the Czech fans are not satisfied. Slovácko, despite leading 2: 0, only drew 3: 3, Slavia also lost.
The latter soon took the lead from Peter Olayinka’s kick, but by the end of the first half the equaliser came. Slavia had plenty of chances and even 29 shots, but only seven of them went between the three posts.
One of those shots was from Lukáš Provoda, who could have scored his team’s winner in the third minute from a penalty kick, but was saved by the home goalkeeper. What are the reactions to this match?
“Terrible performance. You look forward to the game all day and the boys do this. I was most disappointed with the performance of the players who are the oldest and should be the ones to do it. Perhaps only Ollie could meet a higher standard. A terrible waste,” wrote a Twitter user with the nickname Kudela the G.O.A.T.
Another fan also referred to the performance, mentioning the games that Slavia won by a bigger margin, which made the fans and the players themselves upset.
“Respect to all SKS who went to Sivas for the trip! I’m sorry they had to watch this performance. Anyway. The caravan goes on, of course. On Sunday to Eden!” encouraged the fans Vlajkonoš.
Slavia must recover immediately, now they will play at home in the league when they challenge České Budějovice. The following week they will face the group outsider Ballkani in Eden.
