Champions League: Rangers survive hell in Eindhoven and advance, ex-Slavs celebrate
The new edition of the Champions League already knows all the participants of the group stage. Viktoria Plzeň and Rangers have succeeded in the play-offs, but two ex-Slavs have also been promoted. How did the matches of the last fourth preliminary round turn out?

On Tuesday, along with Plzeň, Benfica Lisbon with Petaro Musa and Alexander Bah in the squad also secured qualification. After winning 2: 0 in Kiev, they beat Dynamo at home, this time even 3: 0.
Much has been written about Crvena Zvezda Belgrade’s match against Maccabi Haifa. The Israeli side advanced 5: 4 on aggregate, decided by an own goal from the home team in the 90th minute. Guelor Kanga also scored Haifa’s goal to make it 1: 2.
Haifa’s progress does not play into the hands of the Czech coefficient, similarly to the success of Copenhagen from Denmark, who drew at home to Trabzonspor on Wednesday without scoring. With a 2:1 home win, it’s on.
On the other hand, Bodo’s failure comes in handy. The Norwegian champion lost its one-goal lead against Dinamo Zagreb, reduced to 1: 2 in the second half and went into extra time.
The Croatians were helped by the home environment and scored two goals to take the result into their own hands. For the first time since returning from the second league to the Scottish elite, Rangers were promoted to the Champions League.
After a 2:2 home draw, they managed a tough rematch on hot PSV Eindhoven soil, a 1:0 win sending the Dutch favourites into the Europa League. The group draw will take place on Thursday at 18:00.
