While nothing is official, everything seems to be on track. Jiri Prochazka wanted the fight later this year, he just wasn’t sure of the opponent for a long time. However, the rematch with Glover Teixeira is slowly taking shape.
The Moravian fighter has already made up his mind, and the fact that former champion Jan Blachowicz is constantly picking on him doesn’t change his choice. He is also trying to convince UFC boss Dana White to make the fight happen. He promises it will be the biggest fight in European history.
But Walk and Teixeira have already agreed not only on a fight, but also on a date. The rematch would be at UFC 282, which Las Vegas will host on Dec. 10.
One would expect it to be the main event of the tournament. Except that probably won’t be the case, and this spectacular battle will be overshadowed by two other greats.
It is at UFC 282 that Jon Jones, who is considered by many experts and fans as the best fighter in the history of MMA, is expected to be featured. Jones has been preparing for a move to heavyweight, and that’s where he’ll be greeted by another legend.
Jones is set to face Stipe Miocic, who is considered the best heavyweight of all time for a change. Jones last fought in February 2020, Miocic in March 2021.
