The giant Usyk swims for five hours straight and stays underwater for more than 4 and a half minutes! Will he win a second time against Joshua?
This Saturday is the rematch of the heavyweight title fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian looks monstrous ahead of the next measure of strength, his training methods are breathtaking.

A lot is at stake. The WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight world boxing titles will be contested by well-known rivals. Saudi Arabia will see the event we have been waiting for all year and has been in jeopardy several times due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Joshua the king of rematches?
On the one hand, a talent unseen. An athlete with an ideal body structure should have been the undisputed number one of the sport. But British fighter Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) has certainly not lived up to the highest expectations placed on him.
A loss in a memorable title fight to Mexico’s Andy Ruiz Jr. became a chink in an otherwise flawless career. But the Brit was able to bounce back and regain his titles in the rematch. He now expects another successful rematch.
He calls himself the king of comebacks and this time he certainly won’t want to dance with Usyk for the full twelve rounds. He wants to fly into the fight and be much more aggressive. Is there a KO in the air?
Usyk is fighting for his country too
Standing in his way, though, will be a fighter who isn’t just driven by a desire to win the next fight of his career. The man who has traded boxing gloves for guns will be driven to victory by the over 40 million Ukrainians who live in the midst of what is now nearly six months of Russian invasion.
So there is certainly no shortage of motivation for Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs). He’s already beaten his opponent once, when he knocked out Joshua on his own turf last September. In a one-sided bout, he defeated his British rival by unanimous points.
Back then, Joshua couldn’t find a recipe for the fast feet and technical boxing of the Ukrainian welterweight champion, and the obvious weight advantage was of no use to him. But now everything is different.
The transformation of the Ukrainian! His training methods are breathtaking
A video has been leaked on social media that shows a significant transformation of the Ukrainian boxer’s muscle mass. Could it be a change in tactics? No way, speed and endurance will once again be Usyk’s main weapons.
Rumor has it that the Ukrainian warrior’s training methods are second to none. “I’ve never seen a boxer ride 100km on a bike in 45 degree heat,” Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas said , according to the Daily Mail.
“Nor anyone swimming for 5 hours straight,” he said of his charge. “And certainly not anyone to hold their breath underwater for over four and a half minutes, ” he said.
Whether the change in preparation will help Usyk in his battle with his British rival, we will find out on Saturday evening. The fight is expected to take place around 22:00 CET.
