Change! If Sparta advances, the opening match of the third round will be played away. What is the reason?
The Prague S have the opening games of the second round of the European Conference League. However, they already know the pair from which their next opponent will emerge if they advance. However, both clubs were scheduled to play their opening match at home, which led to a change.

Sparta and Slavia will enter the European Conference League on Thursday. In the second preliminary round, the team from Letná will play Norwegian Viking, while the Sšívani side will face Gibraltar’s St Josephs.
Although it is still unknown whether both teams will advance, they already have to tackle the next preliminary round. It is already scheduled and the opponents and dates are known.
Sparta, if they progress, will face one of the pair of Motherwell (Scotland) and Sligo Rovers (Ireland). Slavia will eventually face a more formidable opponent, namely Panathinaikos of Greece.
The opening match, which will be played if both S’s advance, is scheduled for August 4, but both Prague teams should start at home.
This is something UEFA always tries to avoid, so it was certain that a change would come. There were several options, either a change in the hosting or playing the match on Tuesday or Wednesday.
The decision is now out, although not officially. The change should come for Sparta, who will eventually start away and play the return leg at home.
