It’s quite a tricky situation in goal. There are three goalkeepers – Dominik Holec, Milan Heča and Vojtech Vorel. It’s hard to determine a clear number one, but it seems that Holec will be the first to go.
The just mentioned dress rehearsal against Paks indicated a lot. Usually, in the last game before the season, coaches don’t experiment anymore, but they put the strongest players they want to play in the next game.
And that would suggest that Tomas Wiesner saved his spot at right back from new reinforcement Mejder. The stopper pairing will be unusually composed of two left-handers, Jaroslav Zelený and Dávid Hancko should start.
On the other side, Casper Höjer should have a secure place. But there’s a problem, the Danish midfielder had health problems in the week before the game, if he’s not available, Wiesner will move to the left and Mejdr will start at right back.
In the absence of Ladislav Krejci II, Lukáš Sadílek and Jan Fortelný should take the position of the two central midfielders. Either Adam Karabec or Kryštof Daněk will start ahead of them, but it looks more likely to be the former.
Nothing should change on the wings from last season, Jakub Pešek and Lukáš Haraslín have secured their spots. Technically speaking, they didn’t even have anyone to defend them against, because they have almost no competition for their positions.
Jan Kuchta, without a doubt the biggest Letná reinforcement, will jump on the top of the attack. Tomáš Čvančara will start on the bench.
Sparta’s probable line-up::
Holec
Wiesner – Zelený – Hancko – Höjer
Sadílek – Fortelný
Pešek – Karabec – Haraslín
Kuchta
Priske will have Tomas Cvančara, Lukáš Julius, Kryštof Daňek, Martin Minchev, Michal Sacek and Jan Mejdra on the bench.
