Italian champion AC Milan recently officially announced their first summer signing, Alessandro Florenzi, who arrived for just under €3 million. The next signing is expected to be Divock Origi. The Belgian will come as a free agent after his contract expires at Liverpool, he should be announced soon.

The club’s technical director Paolo Maldini has renewed his current contract until 30 June 2024, information confirmed by Italian journalists Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio on Thursday. Negotiations were expected to last several hours as Maldini did not like the new terms, but eventually both sides came to an agreement.

On the same day, the club also renewed the contract of sporting director Frederic Massaro, who like Maldini, extended it until 2024. Both men have been in their current positions since 2019.

Who, on the other hand, is quitting at AC Milan is goalkeeping coach Nelson Dida, who is stepping down due to personal reasons. The legendary Brazilian goalkeeper has served in the position since 2020. According to available information, he is now expected to return to his native Brazil.

As far as the players are concerned, substitute goalkeeper Antonio Mirante has extended his contract. However, the captain of the champions Alessio Romagnoli has to look for a new club, he is leaving the club after 7 years. The club has not renewed his contract and is looking for a replacement, which could be PSG’s Abdou Diallo.

Fulham are interested in the Italian international and have already offered him a contract with a salary of 4 million euros a year. However, the player himself would prefer to stay in Italy. In his home country, for example, Lazio Roma are interested in him, but the player would probably have to cut down on his salary demands.

The Rossoneri are also addressing the contract extension of Swedish striker Ibrahimovic. However, he has had very frequent injury problems recently and should be out for a very long time.

His replacement could be Andrea Belotti, who has made no secret of being a fan of the Milan club. He has been a free agent since July and Milan fans are hoping that the club will reach for him.
