The 21-year-old had a breakthrough season last season, which he capped with a single goal during the Champions League final against Liverpool in May.
Reports suggested that PSG had spent the last seven months pestering the winger not to extend his contract at the Bernabeu, offering the player an annual salary of £34.3m.
Vinicius Junior will reportedly sign a new long-term contract with Real Madrid. According to Spanish media, it will include an exit clause of £1m.
However,according to Marca newspaper, the Brazilian international will sign a new contract in 10 days’ time when he returns from the post-season break.
Real’s management wants to sign the contract to reflect Vinica’s growing influence in the team and believe he deserves recognition.
Last month, Vinicius confirmed his intention to stay at Real despite interest from elsewhere. He told SportTV
“This is just the beginning. I still have many things to conquer. I hope to win many trophies at the end of my career.”
Vinicius scored 22 goals and added 20 assists in 52 games in all competitions last season.
Carlo Ancelotti’s charges completed a double with victory in the Champions League and also won the LaLiga title with a comfortable 13-point lead over Barcelona.
With a clause worth one billion, he joins Fati, Pedri, Araujo and Benzema
His current contract runs until 2024 and Vinicius is still one of the lowest paid players in the team. According to Capology, he is only behind Mariano, Nacho or Vasquez.
