Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Paris, giving Jürgen Klopp’s men the chance to win their third cup competition this season. Ahead of the final, Liverpool players have once again trained with brain sensors on their heads.
After a dramatically unsuccessful final round of the Premier League, when Manchester City won the title after a spectacular comeback against Aston Villa, Liverpool have no time to heal their wounds as the Champions League final is fast approaching.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges have already won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup and will try to complete the treble when they beat Spanish champions Madrid at the Stade de France on Saturday.
Ahead of the anticipated match, Liverpool players have been busy at their training centre, using the latest technology in their training.
The club has once again enlisted the services of German neurologist Dr Niklas Hausler and his business partner Patrick Hantschke, who are behind the neuro11 company.
On its website, neuro11 describes itself as “the most advanced mental strength training for athletes”.
The technology has been designed to directly train the brain and help players achieve an optimal mental state.

Electrodes attached to the headsets reportedly provide specific data on individual players and help the club tailor the training program to each individual.
Neuro11, which has been working with Liverpool since last August, was initially approached by Klopp with the aim of improving standard situations.
German boss Klopp is clearly keen for his team to wring every mental advantage they can out of using the company’s services.
“The neuro11 team has developed a highly innovative and evidence-based method of mental strength training that can be seamlessly integrated into our existing training programme.
We are now able to specifically train our players’ mental skills and shooting accuracy right on the court in a way that was not possible for us before.
Withmental strength playing such an important role at the highest level, we are thrilled about the collaboration,” reads a statement from Jurgen Klopp about the German company.
Liverpool have already won two trophies this season, by the narrowest of margins. They beat Chelsea on penalties after a goalless Carabao Cup final. And in May, they beat the London team in the FA Cup final.
