Viktor Pešta has a lot to fix. He lost his first fight in the American PFL MMA organization by knockout in the first round and got into a not very pleasant situation. Now he knows his opponent for the second fight.
The former Octagon champion has decided to join the fight for a million dollars and has signed with the American PFL MMA organization. However, he didn’t present himself in the best light there, losing the very first fight.
In April, Viktor Peshta lost to Omari Akhmedov, a UFC veteran, who had a positive record in the best organization in the world and fought 15 fights there. In short, a tough opponent. Akhmedov managed to stop the Czech fighter in the first round.
And now he will face another tough opponent, this time Rob Wilkinson, who, like Peshta or Akhmedov, has experience in the UFC. However, he lost twice in two fights in the number one organization. Otherwise, however, he has a great record of 14: 2.
Wilkinson has fought in the UFC against champion Israel Adesanya or Alexander Poppeck, who also had a fight in the Octagon. He will face Peseta on June 17 at PFL 4.
Despite losing his first fight, Peshta still has a chance to make it to the next stage of the PFL season. The most advantageous thing for him would be to win in the first round, he also has a theoretical chance if he wins in the second round. However, neither of those may guarantee him advancement.
The PFL awards six points for finishing in the first round, five points for finishing in the second round, and four points for finishing in the third round. Three points are awarded to the winner for winning on points, one point is for a tie. A fighter receives no points for a loss. In the event of a no draw, the point is deducted.
Peshta is now ninth in the rankings after one fight. The top four fighters earned six and five points, respectively. The Czech fighter is of course without a point.
