Schick to Bayern Munich? The Bavarian giant is considering him as a replacement for Lewandowski

Bayer Leverkusen’s Czech striker Patrik Schick could become Bayern Munich’s replacement for star Robert Lewandowski, who may leave the Bavarian giant in the summer.

Recently, there have been reports that Robert Lewandowski could leave Bayern Munich. In this case, the Bavarian outfit would lose one of the best strikers in the world, thus they would have to look for a replacement.

One of the players Bayern are interested in is Patrik Schick, who is second in the Bundesliga scorers table. In the league, the Czech striker managed to score 20 goals, the first place belongs to Lewandowski, who scored 32 goals.

Schick is among the top three priorities for the Bayern striker position. Sasha Kalajdzic from Stuttgart and Benjamin Šeško from Red Bull Salzburg are also on the list.

Bayern Munich would certainly like to keep the Polish striker in their team, but there are two problems. His contract expires next season and he has a clause that Bayern cannot prevent him if he wishes to leave early.

Lewandowski would like his new contract to last until 2025. In addition, he would like to receive €30 million per season, which would be an increase of up to €6 million over his current contract. Bayern does not want to agree to these figures. Barcelona have a potential interest in the Polish star.

Bayern would be interested in Schick if their striker were to leave, but there is the problem that Leverkusen’s CEO does not wish to sell the player. However, in the case of an offer of around 75 million euros, transfer negotiations could begin.

A cheaper option than Schick could be Kalajdzic from Stuttgart, who could cost as little as 20 million. A third option is Šeško, who is only 18 years old, so this would be a promise for the future rather than a direct replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
