Sadílek about Černý: It hurt him a bit that we are doing well in the results. He’s riding his ass to get back

Michal Sadilek was one of the best players in the duel with Sweden. The young midfielder, like the whole team, is disappointed that he won’t be going to the World Cup, but now he is focusing on the friendly against Wales.
The Czech national football team failed to make it through Thursday’s World Cup barrage match against Sweden and will not be going to the final tournament.
One of the best players on the field was Michal Sadilek, who is starting to make his way into the national team. What did he say about not progressing in an interview with Repre Football?
“Of course it’s sad how the game in Sweden turned out. I think we deserved to play the (final) game in Poland and fight for promotion there.
Even Sweden was probably surprised how much we beat them and how hard they had it with us. We have nothing to be ashamed of. It’s a pity that the World Cup will be without us,” he said.
Sadilek left in the summer for Twente, where he is a regular member of the starting line-up. But he is not the only Czech in the team, Václav Černý is also in Twente, having recovered from a serious injury.
“He was a little bit hurt by the fact that we are doing well and the coach doesn’t have much reason to interfere. He’s trying, he’s riding his ass to get back in the lineup.
There was a documentary about his recovery, it was very well received in the Netherlands. He describes what he went through, how difficult the road back is. He had experience with a broken neck years ago,” he added.
Twente is doing well this season thanks to him, in fourth place and only one point behind third-placed Feyenoord. It is therefore very likely that we will see him playing in the European Cups in the autumn.
