Partisan? They have places where we can hit them. I’m confident we can do it, says Wiesner

Sparta Prague flew to Serbia for the return leg against Partizan Belgrade. It has a lot to return, having beaten them 0:1 at home and brought a promising result to the rematch. What did Tomas Wiesner, who was absent from the previous match due to a card penalty, say before the game?

Sparta is not at its best in the spring, only in four matches with Slavia did it perform well, with Partizan falling 0:1 at home.

“I was mainly sorry that I couldn’t intervene in the match, help the boys, help the team. But I perceived Partizan as a playable opponent, they have places where we can hit them. I’m convinced that we’ll be able to do it,” said running back Tomas Wiesner in an interview with the club’s website.

Sparta will have to work hard in the rematch if it wants to continue in the Conference Europa League. But the result is still playable.

Partizan didn’t perform any better than Sparta, the one-goal lead is not very big and basically anything can happen in Serbia.

“I think it will be similar to ours, even half a stadium is an advantage for all players. We are playing for the people. I think we are all looking forward to the atmosphere,” he added.

Sparta fans will also be represented at the stadium. Although it is not officially allowed, fans of both clubs have agreed.

There were over a hundred Partizan supporters at Letná last week, and it will be similar in Serbia. Let’s hope they will lead Sparta to promotion.
