McGregor has a closed door on me, says Poirier. He would accept the fight for one reason. Who does he want to fight in the summer?

The UFC 271 tournament offered interesting fights. Even Dustin Poirier, one of the most star fighters of the organization, came to see them in person. He is now trying to get out of another fight with Conor McGregor.
Poirier has beaten the star Irishman twice in a row. Although McGregor still wants another fight and UFC boss Dana White wants it too, the American is not interested in a fourth fight. After all, there’s no reason why he should.
“For me, that door is closed. I’ve beaten him twice in a row. Can I top my two performances? Can I beat him faster? Can I beat him on points 10-7? What else can I do? The only reason I would fight him is for money, which is another thing,” Poirier revealed his stance to the media.
The American fighter had his last fight in December when he took on Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title at UFC 269. He was forced to tap out in the third round by choke and lost the title fight.
He admitted that he lost deservedly. But he would like another fight in the summer. He’s already chosen his opponent. He’d like to take on long-time rival Nate Diaz. Diaz himself would like to take the fight, even saying Poirier could be his last opponent.
“Nate is a fighter whose fights I grew up on. I’ve watched his fights and I respect him and his brother. Itwould be one of the most anticipated fights of the year and those are the fights I want to be a part of,” Poirier explained why he wants to fight Diaz.
