Norwich are by all accounts the worst team in the league. They have scored the most goals, conceded the least, so logically they are last in the table. They are three points behind the relegation places, so their chances of survival are still alive.
Everton are in a long-running crisis, having won only one of their last twelve league games. It has dropped to sixteenth in the table because of this black streak, just eight points off the relegation zone.
Teemu Pukki is the only Norwich scorer to score more than two goals in the league. The long-time mainstay has already scored five times. Mathias Normann, the Norwegian midfielder visiting the islands from Genk, is also performing well.
Two names in particular shine in the away jersey. Abdoulaye Doucouré, after an excellent start, has fallen into the average, yet deserves praise for his two goals and four assists. Summer signing Demarai Gray boasts a 5+2 record.
The fact that he hasn’t scored a league goal for six rounds speaks volumes about Norwich’s crisis in attack. The last time Pukki opened the net was on November 30 against Newcastle.
Everton may be getting a lot of goals, but at least they started scoring goals in January. He has scored at least twice in three of the last five games.
Considering Everton’s improving offensive form, I think they will outshoot Norwich and win.
