The pirate took a big bite and accepted a huge challenge. On Monday, he took on the 20kg heavier Alex Cverna, with whom he fought out a draw. After the fight, he didn’t spare any harsh self-criticism on social media.

Samuel Kristofich has nothing to be ashamed of. He accepted a big challenge and took a boxing match with Alex Cverna, who fights at heavyweight. The Pirate himself regularly fights at welterweight or middleweight, so it was obvious that there would be a big weight and strength difference between the two fighters.

This was quite evident in the fight. The pirate was cautious, paying close attention to the grenades from his opponent’s hands. The fight ended in a draw. He wouldn’t mind it so much, but Kristofich is definitely not satisfied with his performance.

“I didn’t do at all what I was supposed to do, what I wanted to do, what I trained for. Instead of keeping my hands up, I was putting my head down. Normally I’m not feeling good about myself. I train like a co**t and then I can’t hit my front or back properly,” he expressed in an Instagram stream.

The Slovakian fighter said he was disappointed in himself and that he was angry with himself. He even admitted that he doesn’t know if he will watch the fight again as his performance disappointed him.

“It hurt me more than it helped, I expected it to be the other way around. But we’re moving on. I’m not hurt, but I don’t know what to do with myself. The more I train, the weaker I feel,” said the Pirate.

Immediately after the game, Kristofich admitted that Cvern’s strength was evident. However, Cvern’s friend and gala host Karlos Vémola praised his performance not only in the ring but also at the press conference.
