Václav Černý played his last game on 14 January until yesterday. On that day he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He had to undergo surgery and didn’t see the field for ten months.
Twente managed to beat Sparta Rotterdam 1-0. The goal was scored in the 83rd minute by Ricky van Wolfswinkel from a penalty kick. Twente had the ball in their hands for most of the game. Sparta were more active in the shooting department, but did not score. Michal Sadílek, another Czech player, played the whole match for Twente.
Václav Černý came into the game after converting a penalty in the 83rd minute. He played less than ten minutes and helped his team to victory. He didn’t mess anything up during his time on the pitch and seemed to be back in good shape.
Previously, Cerny was considered a great Czech talent in football. He worked at Ajax. However, due to injuries, his career has been going downhill. He recently celebrated his twenty-fourth birthday and will try to kick-start his career again.
