Chelsea started very actively and went for the first goal, Trevoh Chalobah headed just wide in the ninth minute. In the 23rd minute, Reece James fired in from a direct kick, but Wojciech Szczesny made the save.
The home side took the lead in the 26th minute when Chalobah was at his best in the whitewash and swept in from a volley against the left post. Two minutes later, Alvaro Morata beat Edouard Mendy with a lob, but the Senegalese goalkeeper was replaced on the goal line by Thiago Silva.
Chelsea continued to be more active, Reece James fired in the 37th minute, but the Juventus goalkeeper cleared his shot for a corner. The Old Lady were only able to regain their composure in first-half stoppage time, Rodrigo Bentncur narrowly missing a shot.
Thiago Silva threatened after the change of sides, but Szczesny was down in time. In the 55th minute, the home crowd was already celebrating. James took the ball from a volley and confirmed his good shooting form.
Two minutes later, the game was decided. Callum Hudson Odoi hit the space at the back post in a 100 percent chance and ran to celebrate with the fans. After that, the game was close until Weston McKennie and Timo Werner missed their chances at the end.
The German striker did score in stoppage time, and Juventus left London with a four-goal lead.
