On Thursday, Rangers will challenge Sparta Prague at Ibrox Stadium for the second place in the group and thus qualification to the knockout stage of the Europa League. What did coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst say at the press conference before the important match?

Rangers have a very important game ahead of them. If they win by two goals against Sparta, they are sure to qualify for the knockout phase. But if the match ends in a draw, their chances are significantly reduced, and a loss will guarantee that they will finish third at best.

They are the favourites to play Sparta, mainly because of the extensive squad on the Prague side, but also because of their miserable form, which caused the ugly defeat at Slovácko.

“Defence is very important in Europe and the basis for us tomorrow will be to play responsibly at the back, win duels, not score and score some goals. We have to do it tactically,” said the new coach at the press conference.
