Lionel Messi, who is one of the best footballers in the world, is now playing in France for PSG. He played his first senior match for Barcelona, but his entire career started in Argentina, where he is from.
Newell’s Old Boys is the first team he played for. His parent club released a video of Lionel Messi giving his very first career interview. In the video, he is about ten years old, he was the star of the match and scored two goals which he dedicated to his family.
Messi has been with Newell’s Old Boys since he was six years old. He spent six youth seasons in that team and then moved to Barcelona’s youth academy when he reached the age of 12.
According to published statistics, he scored 234 goals for Newell’s Old Boys. The team didn’t lose a single game for 3 consecutive years and were nicknamed ”Machine 87” after the year the boys were born.
In fact, Lionel Messi didn’t even know that the organizers had chosen him as the star of the game. He then describes how his second goal was scored and mentions several of his teammates. Finally, he dedicates the two goals to his family. Little did the boy know that in a few years the whole world would know him.
