Mexican national team player’s family receives death threats after loss to U.S
The family of Mexican national footballer Chaka Rodriguez faced death and rape threats after the 0-2 loss to the USA. The player has asked the public to leave his family out of it all, which logically does not take it lightly. It is also questionable whether Rodriguez will ever want to wear the national jersey again.

Mexico lost 0:2 to the USA on Saturday, so both teams have 14 points in the World Cup qualification and will not miss out on qualification.
It happened in Europe, many people would have waved their hands over it, the match was only about prestige, almost nothing mattered, only the position in the group. In Mexico, however, this is not the case and the fans will eat up any defeat.
But what has happened now goes beyond all limits. The family of Mexican defender Chaka Rodriguez has faced death and rape threats.
“I ask you not to write words to my wife about death and rape. We don’t deserve it,” Rodriguez told ESPN. Unfortunately, death threats are not unique on social media.
Virtually every professional athlete has received a similar message from a disgraced bettor, but the situation in Mexico is different and athletes may actually fear for their family’s lives.
English soccer officials wrote a message to Mark Zuckerberg, who owns Facebook, in February to try to curb such behavior by its users on the network. Fortunately, the police are already starting to deal with such cases, and you can already head to jail for threats like this.
