PSG disagrees with Messi’s nomination for Argentina national team meeting

Lionel Messi had one interesting demand when he transferred to PSG. He wanted a clause built into his contract that would allow him to travel to a national team meeting at any time without the club’s consent. The national team is thus an absolute priority for him.
Even so, PSG are not happy that Messi has been nominated for the next national team meeting. The management of the Parisian team thinks that Messi should not be allowed to represent because of his health problems.
PSG’s sporting director Leonardo has also commented on the whole matter. “We do not agree that a player should travel to a national team meeting when he is not in good physical condition or when he is undergoing rehabilitation,” Leonardo told Les Parisien.
The Paris club would like to contact FIFA about the matter. ” It is not logical and situations like this deserve to be discussed with FIFA,” Leonardo added.
Lionel Messi missed PSG’s last game due to knee problems. Without him, the Paris team only drew 2-2 with Leipzig and cruised to a narrow 3-2 win over Bordeaux.
