The way out of the Manchester United crisis? Solskjaer gave the whole team a week off, players don’t understand the decision
Things are definitely not as they should be at Manchester United. If Cristiano Ronaldo hadn’t scored a couple of goals in the final minutes, the Red Devils would be in last place in the Champions League group and somewhere in the middle of the Premier League table. But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing it his way.
The national team break is the perfect opportunity for the coach to practice certain things with the rest of the squad, or to retrain them or try out the youth talents in training, almost every coach in the world practices this way. But not Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Daily Mail journalist Chris Wheeler has come forward with the information that Solskjaer has given the whole team a week off and flew to Norway with his family on Monday. The players and staff at the club were reportedly very surprised by the move, considering the game crisis the Red Devils are in.
Almost all Manchester United fans have already broken their hearts over Solskjaer. But not the most important ones, the Old Trafford management. It still has a lot of confidence in the Norwegian coach and does not want to just fire the club icon.
But Manchester United’s dream goal, the league title, is getting further away. After 11 rounds, Solskjaer’s team is in the 6th place of the Premier League and already 9 points behind the first Chelsea.
In addition to that, the Red Devils fans had to endure a shameful 0:5 defeat to Liverpool in their own Old Trafford temple and watch a dominant victory for Manchester City.
How much longer Solskjaer will last in the job is uncertain, but if he also loses the booth, his time on the bench will shorten at an incredible rate.
