Jiri Prochazka no longer has an official nickname Denisa. He decided to do so before Jan Blachowicz’s title match with Glover Teixeira, for whom he is an alternate.
The bout takes place on October 30 as part of the UFC 267 gala and Procházka will most likely not be involved in the fight, yet he is not underestimating his preparation.
He has been going through a tough training camp and has cut weight. Why did he change his nickname and who convinced him to do so?
“I see it as a big step. I’m happy to have a nickname that, at least for me, gives meaning. Even though it’s about three words, which may sound strange to some people, but it’s been with me for a while and I’ve been thinking for a long time about how to change the nickname.
Coach Jaroslav (Hovezak) suggested that I should go by the nickname BJP. He said, you got it in terms of marketing, your brand, training and stuff like that, so why don’t you get it,” Walk said at a press conference.
Apart from the nickname, he also changed his hairstyle. Check out his look in the attached photo. Walk, in short, knows how to grab attention.
