The joy of the title was replaced by tears! MMA fighter found out after winning that his father died
Bruno Cappelozza experienced really contradictory feelings on Wednesday. He won the title fight at the PFL 10 tournament and became heavyweight champion, but then he learned that his father had died. Three days before the fight, but his loved ones preferred to keep that fact from him.

Bruno Cappelozza is not having the best time of his life. He thought he was, but the bad news spoiled all the joy of winning.
Cappelozza won a title fight on Wednesday to become the PFL MMA organization’s heavyweight champion. But moments after the fight, he got the news no one wants to hear.
His father died of a heart attack three days before the fight, but his family and coaches decided not to break the news to him before the fight so he could focus on his big day.
“The happiest and saddest day of my life. I didn’t know that I lost my greatest love and the best friend of my life. Thank you for everything. These are things only God can explain. I love you even after your life.
Thank you for teaching me to be the human being I am today. This belt is yours, old man. I love you so much. I hope you meet God, we’ll meet soon. I love you,” Cappelozza wrote on social networks.
Cappelozza subsequently did not attend the press conference, but this was certainly understood by all.
