Of course, coach Jindřich Trpišovský was not happy about the lacklustre performance and he was very disappointed.
“It’s the fourth away game in a stormy atmosphere and we can’t perform like we do at home. The game will turn into us having an open pitch and the opponent going on breaks. We have to prevent dangerous situations better,” said the Slavia coach at the post-match press conference.
“After three rounds we have three points. It doesn’t put us in an easy position. Itputs us in the role that we have to win maximum points in the remaining matches,” he admitted, adding that they will be under pressure for the rest of the competition.
Of course, the poor form in recent weeks is also due to the youthful squad, which is why Trpišovský is trying to make the squad as small as possible. Unfortunately, it turns out that key players are simply missing in certain positions. So who failed on Thursday?
Nicolae Stanciu
The Romanian midfielder started alongside Ibrahim Traore at defensive midfielder. But that doesn’t excuse his poor performance. Apart from a dangerous penalty kick, he didn’t manage anything major. He let himself be tackled in front of goal, losing several balls.
Srdjan Plavšić
The Serbian winger seems to be an unsuccessful signing so far. He didn’t convince in Haifa either, on the contrary. He lost balls easily, was weak in duels, was not dangerous going forward and didn’t defend 100% at the back either, being one of those who caused the only goal of the match. Then at half time he made a substitution.
Ivan Schranz
He hasn’t exactly followed up his successful start in the last few games. He was practically not on the ball in his position under the spike and he did not do well even after moving to the right edge of midfield. Schranz needs to get fit again.
Stopper Kacharaba was also not very confident. Traoré also fumbled the ball a few times and lost it unnecessarily. Kuchta again threw away a huge chance.
