Aston Villa managed to beat Manchester United on their own ground in the sixth round of the Premier League. And their fans enjoyed it immensely, celebrating long after the game. Cristiano Ronaldo was not spared either.
The match was very evenly matched. There were chances on both sides, but no goals came. It wasn’t until the very end of the game that Aston Villa came through. In the 88th minute, Kortney Hause scored the first and only goal of the match.
In injury time, the home side had a great chance to equalise. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty kick and Bruno Fernandes put the ball on the penalty spot, only to miss unexpectedly.
The away fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate after the game, and they didn’t spare star Cristiano Ronaldo, who didn’t make much of an appearance in the match, as they subsequently taunted him outside Old Trafford Stadium, where they performed his famous “Siuuu” celebration.
