Conor McGregor was badly injured in a fight with Dustin Poirier in early July. The thirty-three-year-old Irishman broke his leg at the end of the first round and scored another defeat. He is now recovering and his leg looks so good that reports are coming out that we could see him in a fight as early as the end of the year.
Conor McGregor suffered a serious leg fracture a couple of months ago, from which he is now recovering. However, the Irish fighter has already started training.
His leg is healing surprisingly fast, which is surely what the fans of this controversial fighter are happy to hear. And Dana White’s words have added to that.
“Conor is an incredible worker. He really cares about his health and fitness. His leg is healing really unexpectedly fast, so with any luck he could even be back before the end of this year.
The important thing is what the doctors say. That’s what’s going to be the guideline for us. If Conor can kick fully and if the doctors give him the go-ahead, then in theory he could come back maybe in December,” White said.
And what will be the opponent? That’s in the stars. McGregor wants a fourth fight with Poirier, but the latter will most likely face a title fight.
Plus, it’s not certain the Irishman will be able to fight that soon. But it’s safe to say he’ll do just about anything for a rematch. The fight will happen, the only question is when.
