He’s not gonna put that behind him! Jesse Lingard replaced Ronaldo and then crossed for Bern’s winning goal

Manchester United fans are furious. Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sent Cristiano Ronaldo to the bench for a draw and Jesse Lingard came on for him. And it was he who made a significant contribution to the goal that secured Young Boys’ victory.

Jesse Lingard hasn’t been in good form in recent years, but at the start of 2021 he headed on loan to West Ham, where he started to make a name for himself and was one of the best players in his team.

He returned to United in the summer but will now be widely lynched by his team’s fans on social media. What has he done?
